ISO-combi
ISO-combi is used as slip plane in coreless induction furnaces to prevent early leakage and costly damage to the coil. The mica foil provides good electrical insulation and the biosoluble fiber paper offers the lowest thermal conductivity. Moreover, the smooth surface of this combi mica material makes the push-out easier by avoiding damage to the crucible.
ISO-combi is a laminated material made from phlogopite mica foil and biosoluble fiber paper. The mica foil is reinforced with a glasscloth for better tensile strength during handling and application. Both foil and fiber paper are 100% free of toxicity: you don’t need any specific protection.
